Nacido en la Parada 26 en Santurce, Puerto Rico el 10 de septiembre de 1941, Ramón Luis Ramírez Toro, mejor conocido como Chamaco Ramírez, se distinguió por sus impecables destrezas en el arte de la improvisación, dejando su huella e influencia sobre múltiples generacione
s de cantantes.Su carrera como cantante y compositor se vio marcada por éxitos como “Trucutú”, “Planté bandera”, “Pa’ lante otra vez, “, “Adivínalo” y muchos otros.
Este documental recoge sus triunfos y tropiezos, vistos desde la perspectiva de los que mejor lo conocieron y todos aquellos que de alguna manera se han visto influenciados por su arte.
“Alive and Kicking” intenta trazar un cuadro balancedo mediate la investigación de las circunstancias que rodearon su vida y su violenta muerte en las calles del Bronx el 26 de marzo de 1983. Este documental oficial cuenta con el apoyo de la familia del sonero e incluye fotos, entrevistas y videos de archivo nunca antes vistos.

His career was marked by hits like “Trucutú”, “Planté Bandera”, “Pa’ lante otra vez”, Adivínalo and many more.
“Alive and Kicking” presents a balanced account of his life through the investigation of the circumstances that surrounded his life, as well as his violent death in the streets of the Bronx on March 26, 1983. The documentary is backed by the family of the artist. It will include never-before-seen footage, including live presentations, interviews and more.
